We have launched a new password-protected Econia Safe for the secured transmission of sensitive messages and personal data from Econia to the customer. As of August 1, 2020, we use the Econia Safe system instead of Securedmail (Turvaposti).
Econia Safe is a browser-based secure messaging channel in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), where messages remain archived for 14 days.
When using Econia Safe, the recipient receives a link to a browser window into their e-mail. The page has a password field in which the password received as a SMS (or pre-agreed) is written. Then the message opens.
The user can reply to the message and attach attachments to it. You don´t need to log in to read or reply to messages. Easy and safe!
This is how Econia Safe works:
You will be notified by e-mail when the message arrives at Econia Safe. The e-mail contains a link to Econia Safe secured mail. Open the link.
The service asks for the password that you have received either via SMS to the phone or otherwise from the sender. Enter the password and press “Lue viesti”.
The message opens. You can view the details and content of the message. If the message has attachments, the “Liitetiedostot” button is blue. Press that button to display the attachments.
Press “Vastaa” to reply to the message. Write your message in the message field and press Send reply. To cancel the message, press “Peruuta” (a message that has already been sent cannot be canceled).
