Restaurants closed to customers, ordering takeaway permitted

Restaurants will be closed soon.

To prevent the spread of coronavirus, restaurants, cafes and licensed venues will be closed to customers as soon as possible. On March 24, 2020, the government submitted a government proposal to Parliament, which will continue with the matter on Saturday, 28 March. The changes would be effective until the end of May 2020.

Selling takeaway food to customers would be permitted. The customer or food courier could pick up the ready-made meals at the restaurant or the restaurant itself would deliver the meals directly to the customers.

Restaurants that are not open to the public, such as staff restaurants or school canteens, would not be closed.
